We recently caught up with Abby Stevens, one of our incredible HiveEnergy-supported athletes, to talk about her HYROX journey, her training philosophy, and why she trusts HiveEnergy to help her perform at her best.
For those unfamiliar, HYROX is the ultimate test of strength, endurance, and resilience—a global fitness race combining running with functional workouts like sled pushes, rowing, and wall balls. It's fast, brutal, and growing in popularity across the world.
Abby first stepped into the HYROX arena just 18 months ago, and since then, her rise has been nothing short of phenomenal. Now a HYROX ambassador and serious contender in the sport, Abby is proving what dedication, smart training, and the right fuel can do.
“I did my first HYROX on a whim,” Abby says. “I loved the mix of strength and cardio—it pushed me in ways I hadn’t experienced before. I was instantly hooked.”
From the beginning, Abby has been a HiveEnergy athlete—we've had her back with our natural energy gels to help get her through brutal training blocks and race-day efforts.
“What I love about HiveEnergy is how clean and gut-friendly the gels are. When I’m pushing hard, I need to trust what I’m putting in my body. Hive gives me the energy I need, without the crash or stomach upset.”
Abby’s training is a balance of heavy lifting, endurance running, and race-specific sessions, and she’s not afraid to push her limits. But what sets her apart isn’t just her physical strength—it’s her mindset.
“HYROX is as much mental as it is physical. You need to learn how to stay calm under fatigue, push through discomfort, and trust the work you’ve put in.”
With several podium finishes already under her belt and more races lined up in New Zealand and beyond, Abby is just getting started.
We’re proud to support athletes like Abby who live and breathe the HiveEnergy ethos—natural fuel for relentless humans.
